  • ACQUITTED Simple Battery
    A Gwinnett county client was charged with simple battery regarding a fight at a family gathering. The case was tried to a jury, who acquitted our client.
  • OVERTURNED Possession of Child Pornography
    A Gwinnett county client who was charged with possession of child pornography had our motion to suppress denied by the trial court, which was upheld by the Court of Appeals. A unanimous Supreme Court overturned the trial judge's decision, meaning that the evidence illegally seized from the client is now suppressed and the charges will be dismissed.
  • DISMISSED Drug Trafficking
    A Walton county client was pulled over after police received complaints of her car being involved in drug trafficking. Client was told that she would need to cooperate with police and inform on someone else leading to a drug arrest, or she herself would be charged with a drug crime. Client hired Crawford and Boyle, LLC, and upon speaking with the officer about the situation he declined to seek a warrant in the case.
  • REDUCED DUI, Possession, etc.
    A Walton county client was charged with DUI, possession of drug-related objects, suspended tag, invalid registration, and failure to maintain lane. After clearing up the tag and registration error with the county (not our client's error), and filing a motion to suppress pointing out all of the flaws in the DUI investigation, our client was allowed to plead to the single citation of failure to maintain lane with a fine, while all other charges were dismissed.
  • DISMISSED Marijuana Possession
    Police entered the home of a Walton county client trying to find a wanted person. The entry and search was unlawful, as there was no warrant allowing entry, so Crawford and Boyle, LLC. filed a motion to suppress the marijuana found upon the unlawful entry of the home. A dismissal was filed by the prosecutor following our motion to suppress.

    A Gwinnett county client was charged with DUI, and Crawford and Boyle, LLC, filed a detailed motion to suppress in State court. When the case was called to hear the motion to suppress, the officer ignored his subpoena and did not attend court, and the case was summarily dismissed by the judge.

    Two Gwinnett county clients were on first offender probation. Both hired Crawford and Boyle, LLC, to petition the court to have their probations terminated early and their records sealed. Both motions were granted.
  • DISMISSED DUI
    Walton County DUI client hired Crawford and Boyle, LLC, on his case. We filed a motion to suppress and had a hearing before the judge. Following the hearing, but before the Judge's ruling on the case, the prosecution voluntarily dismissed all charges.
  • REDUCED Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute
    Gwinnett County client was arrested for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. Following extensive negotiations with the prosecutor, Crawford and Boyle, LLC, was able to get the charge reduced to straight possession.
  • DISMISSAL Abuse or Neglect of a Disabled Person
    Gwinnett County client charged with abuse or neglect of a disabled person, a felony offense. Following the successful completion of a polygraph examination arranged by Crawford and Boyle, LLC, the charge was dismissed and restricted from the client's record.

    Walton County client arrested at a roadblock and charged with DUI, blowing a 0.086. Negotiation with the arresting officer and the prosecutor resulted in the charge being reduced to reckless driving.
  • DISMISSED Traffic Violation and Felony Drug Charge
    Walton County client arrested for a traffic violation and a felony drug charge. After sending a subpoena to the client's pharmacy and proving to the prosecutor that she had been legitimately prescribed the drugs, the entire case was dismissed.

    Crawford and Boyle obtained $40,000 in personal injury settlements for a client injured in an Athens car crash that resulted in approximately $15,000 in medical bills.

    Gwinnett client charged with false imprisonment, a 5-year felony; Crawford and Boyle, LLC was able to get the charge reduced to a misdemeanor with a straight probation sentence.

  • DISMISSED State v. Carter (A23A1486)
    The DA was unhappy with the trial judge giving the defendant fifteen years of probation rather than ten years in prison, so they appealed. We defended Mr. Carter, and the Court of Appeals dismissed the DA’s appeal.
  • REVERSED CONVICTION Bell v. State (A21A1215, S22G0747)
    The State charged the defendant with murder, child cruelty, and deprivation of a minor, and she was convicted at trial. We appealed to the Court of Appeals, which dismissed the murder and child cruelty charges but affirmed the deprivation of a minor charge. We applied for certiorari on the deprivation charge, and the Supreme Court granted certiorari and reversed the conviction in whole so our client could walk free.
  • DISMISSED State v. Wood (A23A0310)
    The State appealed the trial court’s dismissal of the charges against our client. We successfully defended the appeal in the Court of Appeals, so our client’s charges remained dismissed.
  • REVERSED CONVICTION George v. State (S21G0429)
    We appealed the trial court’s denial of our motion to suppress illegally gathered evidence, and while the Court of Appeals affirmed, the Supreme Court granted certiorari and reversed, finding that neither the trial court nor the Court of Appeals applied the correct legal standard to our challenge.
  • DISMISSED 54 COUNTS McCurdy v. State (A21A0540)
    Appealed client’s conviction in a multi-count indictment, getting the Court of Appeals to merge/dismiss 54 of the counts, each of which was punishable by up to 20 years.
